Hillcrest is an unbuilt 2023 proposal for a residence arranged around a long pool terrace, with an 84-foot pool, wellness spaces and custom bars. It is shown here through renderings and design drawings.
The proposal
Building on one level costs more. It needs more land, more roof and more foundation for the same space — but it is the only way to give every room direct access to the garden.
The plan makes the most of that choice. The house is one long wing, with the pool terrace on one side and service areas on the other, so the glass wall runs uninterrupted and hallways never cross in front of a main room.
The ceiling was designed at the same time as the floor. Lighting and structure were planned together, so every light fixture is part of the design, not an afterthought.
The west side of the house runs uninterrupted, with nothing stepping in or out.
Equipment, storage and service rooms face the street, keeping the garden side open.
The ceiling plan was drawn with the layout, so lighting is built into each room from the start.
