Ali Rad established the studio in Los Angeles in 2012. The practice works across residential architecture, interior architecture and hospitality interiors, with an emphasis on projects where the two disciplines have to be resolved together rather than sequentially.

Point of view
Most of a house is decided before anyone sees a rendering
Orientation, circulation, ceiling height, where the light lands in the afternoon — these are plan decisions, and they are largely irreversible once construction starts. Renderings arrive late and persuade well, which is exactly why they are the wrong thing to judge a studio on.
Publishing the drawings is not a stylistic choice. It is the only evidence a client can actually evaluate before committing two years and several million dollars.
